Internal Order - Regulatory context: Order of May 7, 2015 – Consolidated version as of August 10, 2018 - France

TES (Essential Safety Tasks);

  • TES A: Maneuver signals and other traffic management installations;
  • TES B: Ensure rail traffic service;
  • TES C: Direct the execution of work on the railway infrastructure having an impact on traffic safety and ensure, during operation, the safety of operations in the work zone and its surroundings;
  • TES D: Intervene on critical components of the railway infrastructure having an impact on traffic safety;
  • TES E: Carry out tests on new or modified safety installations;
  • TES F: Ensure the protection of rail traffic from road traffic and vice versa at level crossings (PN);
  • TES G: Ensure the safety of a train, or a convoy of the Infrastructure Manager (IM);
  • TES H: Order a maneuver;
  • TES I: Use simple safety installations (ISS) (including LGV - High Speed Lines);
  • TES J: Apply the rules for braking and composition of a train, or a convoy of the Infrastructure Manager (IM);
  • TES K: Carry out a brake test;
  • TES L: Check the conformity of a train, or a convoy of the Infrastructure Manager (including MD - Dangerous Materials/TE - Exceptional Transport/UTI - Intermodal Transport Unit);
  • TES M: Ensure, in the absence of an automatic announcement device, the announcement of trains.

TSAE (Security Tasks Other than Essential)

  • Conditions of access to the National Rail Network (RFN) - Rear signaling carried by trains;
  • Security Controller - Business Referent - Security Expert – Manager;
  • Railway risks - Personnel safety;
  • Rail signals (including High Speed Line (LGV);
  • Electrical risks in the railway sector (C0 - CH1/CB1 - CH3/CB3 - HTI A /C/V);
  • Professional gestures & postures.
  • Protection of personnel online and on site (PERS procedure - procedure 9P302)

Decree No. 2017-694 - Decree of May 2, 2017 relating to the protection of workers working on rail or guided transport and rack railway systems or contributing to their operation

  • This decree, known as the “SECUFER Decree”, specifies measures likely to ensure the health and safety of workers with regard to the specific risks generated by activities, particularly railway activities, such as:

- risks linked to traffic (impact, collision, blast, etc.);

- electrical risks;

- risks linked to technical and railway safety installations.


It came into force on January 1, 2018.

  • ATTX line closed to train traffic - S9A3;
  • Driving and using railway work machinery: tamping machine, straightener, handcar, basket, lifting machine, etc. ;
  • Catenary agent - Percher - HMT 1/2/3.
